Ikra Ahmed

Apprentice Project Coordinator

I am an Apprentice Project Coordinator within the Business Services team. My role involves coordinating projects relating to our RM Integris Management Information System.

I am currently responsible for managing 20 customer projects and I really enjoy the responsibility that goes with this. I love making a difference and knowing that if the team ask me to do something, they can be assured it will get done. I have recently completed my first project and achieved an NPS score of 10/10.

In my role I get to work with various other internal departments from sales through to training and implementation. Communication is crucial in my role and I am regularly updating both the customer and the teams internally with the progress of the project. I also recently spent a day visiting a school with one of our trainers and it was great to see our product in use and see the enthusiastic response from teachers when they use it.

I am really enjoying the apprenticeship and am so glad I chose this route rather the traditional route of University. I have regular catch ups with my Skills Assessor and have an online learning system which I upload my work to. I have interactive monthly webinars and my Skills Assessor is always available if I need them.

RM have been very supportive of me since I joined. I have a mentor who I shadow regularly as well as my Line Manager. There is a few Apprentices in RM and there is a great support network from them as well.

What I love about RM is how much they value their customers and how innovative they are. We really are working towards improving the future for educational users.
