I started with RM in September 2018. I am based in a school as an onsite customer support engineer. I had started looking for a more suited job when I was made redundant in my old school. I worked closely with RM in my old school and I knew there would be better career prospects so I looked at the RM careers page and saw two jobs. The recruitment process was very easy. I applied in the morning and had a phone interview a few days later. I did the exams and a week later had another interview. I found out on the same day that I got the job! It was a very streamline process.
The support when I started was amazing. So far I have had continuous support, help, guidance and RM have been very flexible. I have a young daughter so I have been able to move my start time which has been really helpful.
In my role I make sure everything is working in the school. This includes passwords, emails, calls, laptops, computers, tablets, Macs, network and projectors. The most recent project I have been part of was the re-imaging of Macs. We had to make a new image for the Macs as part of the new Mac server. From this we can them re-image all the Macs at the school. I have gained some real valuable knowledge from a colleague as I previously have never worked with Macs before.
I really enjoy working at RM although I have only been a short time I have already benefited from many opportunities. There are lots of great career prospects here at RM where I can learn new skills and extend my knowledge. Here at RM everyone is friendly and willing to help with the smallest of requests, you are never alone and always have someone to call on if your struggling with anything. This has been a great help and benefit to me since starting here. I can already see a very positive future for me working for RM.
It is such a great company to work for and I would recommend it to everyone.
