I have worked with RM Education for just over a year and it’s been a rewarding experience both personally and professionally. I joined RM Education mid-way through a career path that had not always been focused in the IT industry, however I found that my previous experiences provided invaluable insights into my role as a Senior Customer Support Engineer.

I began working here after holding positions both as a contractor and permanent employee in schools ranging from primary to college. Having joined RM predominantly because of the technical opportunities associated with being part of a large and diverse team, I quickly discovered the unexpected challenge of being the human face of the company.

Professionally, RM has invested in my success through the provision of opportunities to move beyond my initial job description and develop new and existing solutions under the guidance of both technical and operational managers. These openings have included participation in major ICT renewal projects, which empowered me to take increasing ownership of customer relationships in order to develop and improve the reputation of the company.

On reflection, it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to work alongside outstanding team members and under the positive influence of line and project managers. Together, they have succeeded in both celebrating my achievements and providing opportunities to help me improve.
