I’ve worked here for just over 11 years. I joined as Marketing Manager in September 2004, having spent the previous 18 years teaching across the Primary age range and now act as the in-house educationalist, coming up with ideas for innovative new resources which are pedagogically right for children. My goal when developing our ranges is to delight and be different – I see myself as a ‘treasure hunter’ and am passionate about taking ideas from concept to finished products which will act as a catalyst to learning. In my time with TTS I’ve brought over 1000 ideas to life, with our mirror pebble range being one of my particular favourites.
Six years ago I took on the challenge of launching our Babies and Toddlers catalogue. My aim was to bring a variety of developmentally aligned products to the Early Years market; what followed was a five-year worldwide program of sourcing, testing and production to create a safe, credible and internationally recognised range, including a number of items which are suitable from birth. I’m very proud that we can now offer our youngest customers choices which will generate the high-level engagement which is so fundamental to their learning.

Moving from teaching to Marketing was a huge decision, but now I talk to hundreds of teachers every year and have the opportunity to influence learning for thousands of children through products, practise notes, practitioner training and conferences – both at home and overseas.
