TTS and The Consortium

TTS

We work tirelessly to ensure our complete offering, at every single customer touchpoint, is outstanding; and to deliver on our aim to give every child, every day, a reason to love learning - and we're delighted to have been recognised as the 2016 Supplier of the Year at the Education Resources Awards.

We believe that our hands-on approach to engaging with classroom teachers results in a great company ethos and service culture, with people are at the very heart of our business – they enjoy working with us, and with each other.

TTS have a commitment to learning and development. All of our staff undergo regular training and we encourage internal moves to keep our employees progressing. We give back to our community, rolling up our sleeves to renovate school playgrounds or donating our time to help children learn to read. We have lots of fun outside of work too, playing football, singing in the choir and regular staff events that usually involve inflatables, games and some hilarious pictures at the end of it all!

Voted 2016 Supplier of the Year at the Education Resources Awards, and Employer of the Year at the 2015 Chad Business Awards.

The Consortium

The Consortium has been serving organisations and businesses delivering public services for over 40 years. The simple proposition of bringing together a wide range of products, presenting them in an easy to access way and delivering on a first class service promise is the essence of our Buying Made Easy formula which is so popular with customers.

We currently work with over 25,000 customers from the education, early years and care sectors providing them with all the supplies and services they need to operate on a daily basis. We also have many customers from local government, the emergency services, churches, voluntary groups and charities.

Our extensive warehousing facilities in Wiltshire and Shropshire, together with our expertise in supply chain management and logistics, mean our customers can rely on just one supplier with fast, reliable delivery. With 40 years' experience in sourcing the right supplies at the right price we have the expertise to secure the best value for our customers.

We are a significant local employer with strong connections to our community. Our charity team organises fundraising events and our environmental team drives initiatives to help us reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. As a responsible employer, we take part in the Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ survey and have been identified as ‘one to watch’ Company.

Giving every child, every day, a reason to love learning

From humble beginnings in a garage in the Midlands, to supplying over 64 countries across the globe, we have been talking to educators and inventing new reasons for children to love learning for over 30 years.   From the conversations, the design realisation, the prototype, the consultation, the manufacture, the delivery, the reaction and most importantly the benefit to children's education, our cycle of development hasn’t really changed, even if life in a school has. With our customers’ help we create hundreds of new resources every year – and we keep on inventing because our customers ask us to. When our customers buy from us, they know that our service will be just as high-quality as our product, and they’re happy to tell the world via our 98% positive feefo rating.

Helping keep children safe

A team of brilliant individuals is dedicated to ensuring all 15,000 of our resources satisfy every piece of relevant EU safety legislation. They check each item is of the highest quality to withstand our customers’ bustling learning environments.  Nurseries and schools know that they can get everything they need from us, with our promise to help keep children safe.

A culture of ideas

Like young children, there are no limits to our imagination.  We are fortunate to meet many inspiring and creative people through our travels and it is their inspiration, expertise, ideas, support and encouragement (along with the children who are our chief testers!) that have enabled us to develop a culture of ideas that never stands still.
