I joined RM over 10 years ago, originally as a warehouse operative in the Distribution Centre. After a few years I was offered the opportunity to move into an admin based role within the export shipping department. During this time I completed a course at the British Chambers of Commerce which enabled me to move into the UK and International sales department. My day to day role in the sales support team involved supporting the field sales team and dealing directly with our customers, this was a great stepping stone from which I was able to move into a more senior sales role, initially as a UK Account Manager. After 18 months I moved into the International team, looking after our distribution base in Ireland and Eastern Europe which allowed me to work with a smaller number of accounts before undertaking my current role as our Scandinavian Account Manager.
I now work closely with our Distributors in Scandinavia who promote and resell our products in their local market. I work closely with around 20 partners and regularly attend events and exhibitions with them. My role is to ensure that our resources are listed in their product portfolios and promoted throughout multiple marketing channels. Scandinavia is a great market to work in as they have world renowned teaching practices so it’s great that our products are popular their!
