Eliane Bandeira
European Account Manager
I recently joined RM after interviewing with a few different companies. When I started my job search, I made a list of what was top priorities for me. I wanted to work somewhere that truly made a difference and I believe education makes all the difference. I also wanted to use my languages as I speak three languages fluently and I wanted to use international business experience. The company also mattered, I wanted a company that was growing and where I could see progression. It also mattered that I am able to work from home. The final thing I knew was essential was a team of people and line manager that allowed me to know I would fit in and I would be accepted. In the past I have found culture fit an issue and have been made to feel that my age or nationality meant I didn’t fit. As soon as I met my line manager at TTS, I knew I would fit in.
During the interview process I was asked to prepare a presentation on Portugal which was something I really enjoyed doing. I also got to meet others from the team and realised I could work with them. Through the interview, I had the opportunity to show what I could do and as a result, I knew I would enjoy the role.
I completed the whole interview process virtually. It was a well thought out process and it didn’t matter that I didn’t actually get to meet anyone. I still managed to get to know the company and the people.
My role is as a European Account Manager responsible for managing international distributors. I am responsible for eleven countries and I have a good mix of countries I know well where I can make a real difference and countries that will provide me with a new challenge. I am also looking forward to the future and to taking the TTS products into countries in South America where we aren’t widely known.
Since I joined, the team have been very supportive. On the first day I went to the office and they were all there to meet me. We now speak regularly virtually and meet once a week.
