Project Management Apprentice
I joined RM Results two months ago as a Project Management Apprentice. When I first started, I work alongside the Bid Project Manager helping with the coordination of bids for new clients and contracts. I also helped with other project work such as helping to organise a conference which is being attended by the RM Results Leadership team and some of our clients. My role also involved some event management it was my responsibility to make sure initially that the venue and accommodation are booked in time but since I have solely managed an event. I organised our Christmas Kick off Event which took place at Jury's Inn in Oxford. This consisted of a conference in the day to launch our new financial year and then an awards ceremony in the evening. I have also managed my own internal project which is to create Sharepoint areas for the Project and Bid teams.
More recently I have been responsible for managing a customer implementation project for RM Assessor. I dealt regularly with the customer, made sure the project teams were aligned and had responsibility for ensuring the budget was on track.
In my role, I have had to find the confidence to contact important people, organise high profile events and take sole responsibility for tasks that are essential to the whole business. Since I joined, the Project Management team have been really supportive and have shown real faith in me so I have been able to achieve a lot already.
My apprenticeship is a Level 4 Project Management apprenticeship. I am really excited about the modules I will be studying, my first one is an Introduction to Principles of Project Management and I will the do 18 other modules relating to Project Management.
I joined RM after doing my A Levels as I knew I didn’t want to go to University. Working on an apprenticeship gives you so much independence and the experience is unique. The responsibility I have been given has allowed me to develop as a person.
