I have been at RM for 18 months now as a Customer Support Engineer. I am school based so my role covers a broad spectrum supporting two Academies. I joined RM as I was looking for a hands on role. I saw the advert and the role looked perfect. I had heard of RM and I wanted to work for a larger company and a trusted brand.
Over the summer I was quite involved in planning and implementing a Windows 10 upgrade. I had to re-build machines as well as getting involved in the background admin side of things. I really enjoyed this project as it gave me a broader overview and a chance to further develop my skills. Out of term time I helped a school in Dudley. It was a big project refreshing their hardware network. I had not done this before and it was a learning curve. My knowledge of the systems schools use has expanded and I am always willing to take on more work if needed.
The best bits about working for RM are getting to know the schools I work in and working as part of a big team. It is a very supportive environment. There is a community of engineers who help each other out and I am in touch with my line manager, Richard Saunders a lot. RM has a really nice culture.
RM is a trusted brand within schools. My school is super happy and confident with the service provided which makes me really proud to work for RM.
