We’re a multi-brand market leader with around 500 FTE staff, 59,000 products and 3,500 own-designed products. We trade in 85 countries with 20% of our revenue coming from international sales (perhaps one of the reasons we won a Queen’s Award for Industry - International Trade in 2018).

In a nutshell, if you tipped a school upside down, chances are we’d sell everything you can see inside it (except the teachers, children and school hamsters, of course).

Our core educational brands TTS and Consortium help to make sure that we’re there at every step of educational journeys, from early years all the way through to becoming young professionals.

We’re digital-forward, with over half our UK orders coming online and, with significant investment in our new ERP system and product development, and so right now is a really exciting time to join us. We’ve got 60 new vacancies to be filled in the coming months. TTS

There are lots of good ways to spend your working day. We like to spend ours coming up with really innovative products and resources that give every child, everywhere, a reason to love learning every day.

We also like to take a hands-on approach by talking and listening to classroom teachers and education experts. It’s resulted in a great company culture…the people at the very heart of our business enjoy working with us and with each other and we absolutely love working with them.

Consortium

We’re a lovely big one-stop shop that provides the best possible range of educational materials designed to give children the wings they need to soar.

We work with TTS and 400 other suppliers we know and love to provide over 40,000 best value products to schools and nurseries. So from stationery to sports supplies, classroom essentials to cleaning gear, ovens to office equipment, we’ve got it covered, along with an innovative and inspiring selection of curriculum resources to help educational outcomes take off.

Ours is a simple proposition; more of the best resources, more of the best value, a more personal service and getting all it to our customers more quickly. It’s a bit like a cherry on the cherry on the icing on the cake.

Given what we do, naturally we’re committed to learning and development. All our staff undergo regular training and we encourage internal moves to keep our employees moving on up.

We have supported many charitable causes over the years; so far, our incredible charity team have baked, parachuted, gamed and quizzed their way to raising over £20,000 for local charities in the last couple of years. There is also the TTS Charity Foundation which has raised £130,000 for the Kariandusi School Trust over the past eight years.

Plus, we’ve also got our green on; our environmental team are always coming up with great ideas to help reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the planet.

We give back to our community, renovating school playgrounds and helping children learn to read. There’s fun and games outside work too; football, the choir and regular staff events (sometimes involving free pizza, often involving inflatables and always resulting in some rather interesting photos. Fancy being in them this year?).

We’re on the outskirts of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, a busy market town with terrific public transport links, just 10 minutes from the M1 and close to Nottingham, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Sheffield and Derby. On our doorstep we’ve got beautiful countryside, with the Peak District, Bakewell, Hardwick Hall, Chatsworth and Sherwood Pines Forest a hop, skip and short drive away.

Nearby we have banks, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and cafés; we all love the 1958 Coffee Shop’s flat whites and cakes!

The offices are great, too. We’ve got the latest technology, comfy chairs and on-site canteen facilities. Local businesses also visit every morning delivering fresh sandwiches, piping-hot jacket potatoes and delectable cakes and pastries right to our door.
